Who can I help?

Many people experience psychological distress for a huge number of different reasons through their lives. Clinical psychologists are trained to help people to overcome, or manage, emotional problems in order to improve their psychological well-being and quality of life. 

I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the health professionals council and British psychological society offering private psychological assessment and therapy to adults in Cambridge. I accept self-referrals, as well as referrals from health professionals, health insurance companies and other agencies.

I offer individually tailored, flexible and effective assessment and intervention to adults and young people experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties, including those managing the impact of physical illness or disability or other challenging life circumstances. I work with people experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood and depression, and have a special interest in working with those managing the impact of physical health problems on psychological well-being. I work individually, but also with partners or family members where appropriate. I also offer consultation, supervision and training. My service may be right for you if you are;

  • struggling to manage stress or anxiety 

  • experiencing depression and low mood

  • have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • having difficulties with anger

  • are struggling to manage pain 

  • finding it hard to cope or adjust to changes in your health or after a traumatic experience,

  • having difficulty managing medical treatment or making health related decisions

Following assessment, clear goals for therapy will be set together. These may include overcoming mental health difficulties, finding new ways to manage difficulties, or working towards finding meaning and quality of life when these have been challenged.
